Ah, right, I ought to have added the wikipedia link for "Kriek": http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kriek
The info is all there: the special cherries, the special brewing method, and what has recently been done to make the beer accessible to a wider public (and less accessible to those who like the real stuff).
I admit that this isn't an everyday beer. But I like to switch around anyway.

I must admit that it's difficult to wrap my mind around the concept of
cherry
beer!
Husband and I have spent many happy afternoons/evenings bottling beer and lager he's made. But never
cherry beer.

June 2008. Elisabeth Höglund writes again in Borås Tidning and cites a series of pretty tasteless passages about her from Swedish blogs - not from this one, though. Apparently some people have created the hobby of writing nasty stuff about Elisabeth's hair and the likes.
I want to emphasise that I have no issue whatsoever with Elisabeth as a person, I am not even watching TV so very often, I think that pretty much any hairstyle is just fine, and I find ad hominem attacks because of someone's personal style disgusting. I have merely and solely written about her article as quoted above.

Hi there

You could be describing my weekly shop in England. Sounds pretty similar up and down the aisles, with some impatience displayed at the check-out (although nothing would actually be said!). I remember very polite and quiet supermarket queues in Germany (I grew up in Bonn), so maybe times have changed.

Mini rant over!
